On Thursday 11th February members joined as Lesley Weatherson delivered a 'Tax Special'. The webinar was full of detail and signposted lipspeakers to various legislation and guidance. After briefly exploring accounting software, we will all be 'making tax digital' in no time!
On Thursday 28th January members gathered for a New Years social. Twitter, whiskey and ducks were hot topics as members shared laughter over a Thursday tipple. A huge thank you to all members for your contributions!
Technology not behaving, animals interrupting, co-workers saving the day and accents testing our skills - we certainly covered a lot in this webinar!
On Thursday 17th December a number of members got together for an ALAS Christmas Social. Members wore an array of clothing including Christmas jumpers, reindeer antlers, Christmas socks and we even had our very own elf! We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy New Year.
On Thursday 13th August members joined Linzi Weatherson for an incredibly informative webinar! The focus was Legal remote working using ‘Cloud Video Platform’ (CVP) with particular attention given to considerations & coping strategies.
On Thursday 23rd July members came together for our second remote social event. Together, peers shared a safe space to catch-up and have a cheeky beverage. A huge well done to our member and Social Media Officer, Linzi Weatherson, on passing your TSLI assessment!

On Thursday 18th June a number of our members came together for a virtual Social event. Together, peers shared a drink and a safe space and what they discussed......well that will stay with them!
On Thursday 11th June members were joined by NRCPD Registration Service Manager, Kate Price. Kate delivered an incredibly informative webinar and our lipspeakers learned a wealth of knowledge about changes to continuous professional development (CPD) going forward.
On Thursday 4th June, members were joined by special guest, Rosalind Josephs, for a webinar focusing on lipspeaking in the Legal domain. The webinar covered Top Tips, Do/Dont’s and much more...so much more - we went 30mins over! What an incredibly informative webinar it was!

On Thursday 30th April, members joined a free webinar between 18:00-19:15 to learn all about Twitter. A huge thank you to Linzi Weatherson for preparing and delivering this session for us.
Do you know the different between Bullying & Harassment? Martin Fox-Roberts, RSLI, provided a Bullying & HArassment Workshop on 22nd February 2020. 12 ALAS members joined Martin to share experiences, both positive and negative, of being bullied themself or witnessing bullying. One member in particular was very brave and shared her emotional experience of bullying, and showed incredible resilience.
