I was booked via an agency for a medical booking, 14:00-15:00. When I arrived at 13:45, I was told the appointment was actually 14:30-15:30. This was a medical appointment and of a very sensitive nature and could not be delayed.
I immediately rang the agency and explained the situation. I also explained I could stay for the extra time, but that I would need a taxi in order to arrive to my next job in time ( I used public transport as the weather was nice).
The agency refused the taxi cost, and told me to leave at 15:00.
I decided not to leave, and remained on the job until 15:45, ensuring effective took place and the patient was safe/healthy. I invoiced the agency for an additional hour, but paid the taxi costs from my own pocket.
